3 Signs You Have an Ancestral Entanglement

01

The feeling is disproportionate to your own story.

Guilt, anxiety, or heaviness that doesn't match anything that's actually happened to you. It's too big for your own life to explain. Something tells you that these emotions are bigger than you, literally.

02

It echoes someone else's timeline.

A pattern that repeats at the same age or life stage as a parent or grandparent. A relationship ending, a career stalling, a health issue. Digging into your family tree and playing detective, you uncover eerily corresponding dates and numbers.

03

Addressing that pattern almost feels like betrayal.

Some part of you resists releasing it, as if putting it down would mean abandoning someone. Even if you can't say who, or why. Sabotaging your relationships, your career, fear of success...

This is called ancestral entanglement: when a family member's story was silenced or ignored, when someone was excluded or never properly grieved, it creates a block in the family system. Later in the line a descendant unconsciously carries the pain without ever knowing why. This pattern repeats until someone finally decides to address it.

Constellation work is a way to make the invisible visible, and to finally end the cycle of pain running in the family ever since.
